What Is BOYDS™?

Gary Lowenthal began with a lone of hand-carved duck decoys and later ceramic houses called "gnome Homes." The product line eventually grew to include plush bears as well. As the plush line became more successful, they included the "Bearstone Collection" in 1993. From there, Boyds Bears grew. They now include: Folkstones, Dollstones...Yesterday's Child, Shoebox Bears, Purrstones and most recently the Bearly Built Villages.
