December 28th & 29th, 2000 : Because of recent error's on the servers, we attempted to upgrade some system utilities.  Unfortunately, this forced us to upgrade some parts of the operating system and the Apache web server causing more down time than we had expected:  The web server was down most of the afternoon and evening.  Finally restarted at about 9:30 pm Thursday.  PHP & SSL services remained down until Friday afternoon.  Other services such as e-mail and DNS services were unaffected except for during reboot sequences.  Reboots occurred as follows:

    Thursday 28th 3:24pm, 3:50pm, 4:16pm, 5:59pm, 6:28pm

    Friday 29th 3:52pm, 5:39pm, 6:46pm

December 27th, 2000 1:14 pm : Servers not responding, rebooted.  Approximate down time 15 minutes.

December 27th, 2000 9:24 am PST: Frontpage server extensions runaway application. Servers rebooted.  Approximate down time 5 minutes.

December 26th, 2000 3:32 pm PST: Servers not responding - rebooted.  Approximate down time 15 minutes.

December 15, 2000 9:19 am PAC : Memory errors at server causing user names and passwords to be forgot, requiring re-entry for each hit on a page.  Servers re-booted.  Approx. down time 1 minute.

December 14, 2000 9:30 am PST : GCT21 Radius/Authentication Server down due to TELCO connection problems.  Dial-up services down as long as this server is offline.  GCT21 is working with TELCO regarding the connection problems. Approx. Down time 1-hour.  

December 13, 2000 11:26 am PST: TELCO/POWER Outage/Spike : Communication down for reboot sequence.  Approx down time: 1 minute.

December 13, 2000 2:09 am PST : Server not responding, rebooted.  Approximate down time 5 minutes.

December 8, 2000 6:07 pm PAC : I5net servers slowdown, rebooted.  Estimated servers down time 15 minutes.

December 8, 2000 3:56 pm PAC : Due to a network failure at one of our internet connection providers, our webmail interfaces are not working properly. You can circumvent this problem by going to webmail1.domain.name instead of webmail.domain.com. This failure is also impacting dialup authorization on Network D.  Problems solved by 4:17pm.

December 4, 2000 824 am PAC : I5net servers hanging and re-booted.  Estimated service down time 15 minutes.

December 3, 2000 6:44 am PAC : I5net servers hanging and re-booted.  Estimated service down time 15 minutes.

December 1, 2000 5:00pm PAC : GCT21.NET - MAJOR TELCO line outage results in Dial-up authentication server failure and DNS service failure for some i5net.net hosted sites and e-mail.  Estimated service failure 4-hours.  I5NET servers un-affected by line failure at gct21.net.  I5net has corrected dependency on GCT21 servers for DNS and mail service for all but Network B-5.  Authentication service is still part of GCT21 services.
